Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Little Brain Boosters B.V. collects, uses, shares, protects, and deletes personal data when a parent or guardian uses the Dopalearn application, website, and related services.
1. Who we are
Little Brain Boosters B.V. is the company responsible for Dopalearn and is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. Scope
This policy applies to the Dopalearn mobile and television applications, the Dopalearn website, customer support, and related services operated by Little Brain Boosters B.V. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of Apple, Google, YouTube, or other third-party services.
3. Data we collect
We limit the information sent to our Firebase backend to the data needed to provide parent-managed accounts and learning features.

Information that is not uploaded to our backend
Dopalearn does not upload a family’s photos, voice recordings, or videos to our Firebase backend. If a Dopalearn feature lets a parent use such media on a device, that media remains on the device unless the parent separately chooses to share it through another service.
Purchases
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store full payment-card or bank-account details. Apple and Google process purchase information under their own privacy policies and may provide us with limited transaction or subscription-status information needed to enable purchased features.
Platform and infrastructure records
Apple, Google, and Firebase may independently generate limited identifiers, purchase records, security logs, or diagnostics needed to operate their platforms and infrastructure. These provider records are distinct from the parent name, email, child profile name, progress, and scores stored in Dopalearn’s Firebase application database. Their handling is also governed by the applicable provider’s terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use parent or child-profile data for targeted advertising, behavioral advertising, or data-broker profiling.
5. Children’s privacy and parental control
Dopalearn is designed for children to use under the direction and supervision of a parent or guardian. The parent is the account holder and is responsible for creating child profiles, choosing content, and supervising use.
- Children cannot create accounts or provide their own email addresses to Dopalearn.
- A parent chooses the child profile name. We recommend using a nickname or first name only.
- Progress and scores are used to provide learning features and information to the parent.
- We do not make child profiles or learning data publicly available.
- A parent can review or delete child-profile information by managing or deleting the account.
If you believe a child provided personal information to us without appropriate parental involvement, contact us at support@dopalearn.com. We will investigate and delete the information where required.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep parent account, child profile, progress, and score data while the Dopalearn account is active and the information is needed to provide the service.
A parent can permanently delete the Dopalearn account from the Settings view in the app by selecting Delete Account. Account deletion removes the parent name and email, child profile names, progress, and scores associated with the account. Little Brain Boosters B.V. does not retain those account records after deletion is completed.
Deleting a Dopalearn account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription because subscriptions are managed by the applicable store. Visit our Account Deletion page for instructions.
Apple, Google, Firebase, and other providers may independently retain limited records where required for security, billing, fraud prevention, or their own legal obligations. Their retention is governed by their respective policies.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Parents should use a strong, unique password and protect access to their devices and accounts.
10. International data transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries outside the country where a family lives, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for these transfers, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- delete personal data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive portable account data where applicable;
- withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and
- complain to a data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, email support@dopalearn.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the requester is the account-holding parent or guardian.
People in the Netherlands may contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority. People elsewhere may contact their local supervisory authority.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Dopalearn, our service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
