2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Dopalearn, the parent or guardian controlling the account agrees to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account, purchase a subscription, or use the service.

You represent that you are legally capable of entering into this agreement and are the parent or legal guardian responsible for every child profile created under your account.

For downloads through Apple, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement also applies. These terms supplement rather than replace any mandatory platform terms.

3. Parent accounts and child use

• Only a parent or legal guardian may register and control an account.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password, device access, and account activity.
• You decide which child profiles and learning activities are appropriate for your family.
• You must supervise a child’s use of Dopalearn and any external content accessed through the service.
• You should use a nickname or first name rather than a child’s full legal name for a child profile.

Contact support@dopalearn.com promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization.

4. The Dopalearn service

Dopalearn provides parent-directed educational videos, nanolessons, challenges, practice activities, progress information, scores, and related features. Features and content may vary by device, platform, language, country, subscription level, and app version.

Some features may allow a parent to select, import, or create personalized learning material using media available on the parent’s device. Parents are responsible for deciding whether that material is suitable for their child.

5. Subscriptions, trials, and purchases

Dopalearn may offer free features, free trials, subscriptions, and in-app purchases. Current prices, billing periods, trial terms, taxes, and included features are displayed by the Apple App Store or Google Play before purchase.

Store billing

Purchases are processed by the store connected to your device. The store’s payment terms also apply. Little Brain Boosters B.V. does not directly receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

Automatic renewal

A recurring subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled through the applicable store before the renewal deadline shown by that store. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your Apple or Google account settings.

Trials and price changes

If a trial converts to a paid subscription, the applicable store will charge the price shown when you accepted the offer unless you cancel in time. Any future price change will be handled under the store’s rules and applicable law.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under the applicable store policy, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

6. License and intellectual property

Subject to these terms, Little Brain Boosters B.V. grants the account-holding parent a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Dopalearn for private family and educational use on supported devices.

Dopalearn, including its software, design, branding, lessons, animations, graphics, audio, text, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Little Brain Boosters B.V. and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, publicly distribute, reverse engineer, modify, or exploit Dopalearn or its original content except where applicable law expressly permits it.

7. Family-provided content

You retain ownership of photos, recordings, videos, names, and other material that you lawfully provide or select for personalized use. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use that material.

Dopalearn does not upload family photos, voice recordings, or videos to its Firebase backend. Material used by on-device personalization features remains on the device unless you separately choose to share or back it up through another service.

Do not use Dopalearn to create or import material that is unlawful, infringes another person’s rights, exploits or endangers a child, contains malware, or is otherwise inappropriate for the intended child user.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Dopalearn for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or commercial-resale purposes;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, source code, or data;
• interfere with the security, availability, or normal operation of the service;
• introduce malware, automated scraping, or excessive automated requests;
• circumvent subscription, parental-control, access, or security mechanisms;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority over a child profile; or
• use another person’s intellectual property without permission.

9. Third-party services and content

Dopalearn may interoperate with app stores, Firebase, video providers, imported media sources, or links controlled by third parties. Their services, content, availability, and data practices are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not control third-party content and cannot guarantee that it will always be available, accurate, appropriate, or compatible. Parents should supervise children when external content or links are available.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains the information Dopalearn collects and how parents can access, correct, or delete account and child-profile data. A parent can delete the account from the Settings view or follow the instructions on our Account Deletion page.

11. Educational and health disclaimer

Dopalearn is an educational product. It is not medical care, speech therapy, psychological treatment, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for advice from a qualified teacher, speech-language professional, physician, or other healthcare provider.

Children learn differently, and individual results are not guaranteed. If you have concerns about a child’s speech, language, development, learning, or health, consult an appropriately qualified professional.

12. Availability and service changes

We work to keep Dopalearn available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, platform changes, connectivity, third-party outages, device compatibility, or events beyond our reasonable control may affect availability.

We may improve, add, remove, or modify features and content. If a change materially reduces a paid service during an active subscription, we will provide any notice or remedy required by applicable law or store rules.

13. Account deletion, suspension, and termination

You may stop using Dopalearn at any time. The account-holding parent can delete the account in Settings → Delete Account. See our Account Deletion page for details.

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect children or other users, maintain security, comply with law, prevent fraud, or address a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

Account termination does not automatically cancel a store-managed subscription. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limitations, and dispute terms—remain effective.

14. Warranties and limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.

To the extent permitted by law, Dopalearn is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee a particular learning result, uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or third-party source, or that every error will be corrected immediately.

To the extent permitted by law, Little Brain Boosters B.V. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you accepted these terms. Our liability is not limited where liability cannot legally be limited, including in cases of intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence.

Please contact support@dopalearn.com first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Disputes may be brought before a competent court in the Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer law permits or requires proceedings elsewhere.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, security, or business changes. We will post the revised terms here and update the effective date. If a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required by law.
